Money20/20 Europe: IDEX Flexible Fingerprint Sensor Gets Demoed

IDEX‘s flexible fingerprint sensor is being shown off at this week’s Money20/20 Europe event, the company has announced.

Following the revelation that IDEX ‘s fingerprint sensor technology was being used in a biometric payment card being trialed by Mastercard, IDEX officially announced its flexible, low-power fingerprint sensor at the end of last week. The company says it has seen strong interest from prospective clients and partners, and that the solution has already gone into sampling with a Europe-based card integrator.

In a statement announcing its technology’s demonstration at this week’s Money20/20 event, IDEX declined to name the company showing off its technology, referring to it only as “a top-tier European card integrator” – very likely the same one that is now sampling the technology.

IDEX has previously indicated that its flexible sensor should be ready for mass production starting in the second half of this year.
