iDenfy is trying to make it easier for clients to integrate its identity verification technology into their own workflows. To that end, the company has launched a new “Magic Link” solution that allows clients to create a consistent authentication experience for everyone connected to their network.
The goal, according to iDenfy, is to help protect businesses that do not have the technical expertise needed to implement a more complicated cybersecurity system. In that regard, the company believes that there will not be nearly enough skilled professionals to meet the world’s IT demands in the next few years. The shortfall is expected to have a particularly large impact in the United States, where businesses could lose $400 billion in potential revenue simply because they do not have the people they need to capitalize on certain high-tech opportunities.
Those lost opportunity costs could climb into the trillions internationally, where the available pool of IT professionals could be as much as 85 million people shy of demand as digital transformation accelerates. The inability to implement modern software solutions could also expose many companies to more security risks, since they may not have the technology they need to protect their infrastructure and their workforce in a digital environment.
“The lack of IT professionals is a huge problem when integrating modern software solutions, and we believe we have found a way to solve the issue,” said iDenfy CEO Domantas Ciulde.
The Magic Link was designed to solve that problem, and to make iDenfy’s identity services as accessible as possible. The solution essentially generates a unique identity link for the entire organization. That link reroutes end users to iDenfy’s identity portal, where they will then be walked through the company’s traditional onboarding and authentication process.
The solution is useful because it can be implemented without any programming or internal development, and does not require the creation of a different link for each individual. The universal Magic Link can instead be sent to everyone associated with an organization.
The Magic Link is one of several recent additions to the iDenfy portfolio. The company unveiled a proxy detection system in May, and followed that with the release of a new risk screening tool earlier this month.
