As one of the biggest solutions providers in the identity industry, IDEMIA naturally had an extensive presence at this year’s Money20/20 event in Las Vegas. And as a result, FindBiometrics President Peter O’Neill had the opportunity to catch up with a few of its executives on the show floor, including Biometric Access & Time Solutions head Gary Jones and NORAM Financial Institutions head Megan Heinze, each of whom were happy to delve into their areas of expertise.
But in the case of IDEMIA Marketing VP Garfield Smith, he was glad to talk to Peter about some of the broader themes of IDEMIA, including the company’s origins in the merger of Oberthur Technologies and Safran Identity & Security, and what exactly Augmented Identity is. From there, Smith got into more granular matters, discussing the “tremendous success” of IDEMIA’s MorphoWave scanner, the company’s mobile driver’s license effort in Iowa, and its eID initiative with the state of Alabama.
