IDEMIA Public Security’s Smart Biometrics division has announced two key job openings as part of its strategic growth plans for 2025. The roles, Director of Solutions Sales and Senior Program Manager, underscore the company’s ambition to strengthen its leadership in biometric solutions for enterprise markets. These positions will be based in the United States, with a focus on driving sales excellence and managing complex biometric programs.
The Director of Solutions Sales will play a critical role in advancing IDEMIA’s enterprise-level biometric offerings. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in SaaS enterprise solutions, with a proven track record in consultative sales and achieving high-value targets. This position requires a hybrid work arrangement, preferably near IDEMIA’s U.S. headquarters in Reston, Virginia, with extensive travel to meet potential clients. Responsibilities include developing and executing tailored sales strategies, managing the sales cycle from prospecting to closing, and fostering long-term client relationships. The role emphasizes collaboration with internal teams to align customer objectives with IDEMIA’s biometric and access control solutions.
Meanwhile, the Senior Program Manager will oversee the execution of complex biometric projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and corporate objectives. This role demands experience in program management, particularly with international clients in electronics or IT. The Senior Program Manager will lead cross-functional teams, manage program profitability, and enforce adherence to contractual terms. The position also involves identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to maintain program success and client satisfaction.
IDEMIA’s Smart Biometrics division, part of its Public Security unit, specializes in biometric sensors, enrollment and authentication devices, and access control solutions. The division aims to deliver frictionless, secure biometric experiences for enterprises while expanding its footprint in a competitive global market. The announcement of these leadership roles highlights IDEMIA’s continued investment in innovation and talent to achieve its ambitious goals.
These hires also come in the context of significant shifts within IDEMIA. Last year, Advent International, IDEMIA’s private equity owner, entered exclusive negotiations to sell the company’s European identity authentication business, known as Idemia Smart Identity, to IN Groupe, a Paris-based entity owned by the French government. That development pointed to a strategic narrowing of IDEMIA’s focus on its biometric and public security divisions, leaving behind parts of its portfolio that didn’t align with its core priorities.
The addition of a Director of Solutions Sales and Senior Program Manager suggests IDEMIA is doubling down on expanding its biometric solutions capabilities in key markets like the United States. These hires may also signal a deeper commitment to scaling its Smart Biometrics division globally, potentially positioning IDEMIA as a stronger competitor in the enterprise biometric solutions market. At the same time, the appointments indicate an effort to solidify leadership and operational efficiency in an evolving industry landscape shaped by both public and private sector demands.
