“I have witnessed IDEMIA’s growth potential first hand and believe it is excellently poised to continue to consolidate its position as the leader in the sector.” -Yann Delabrière, CEO, IDEMIA
IDEMIA has a new CEO, the company has announced.
Yann Delabrière comes to the company from a previous position as the “Lead Independent Director” of train manufacturer Alstom, a position he had held since July of last year. He was also Chairman of the Managing Board of Zodiac Aerospace between May of last year and February of 2018, and before that headed Faurecia, an automotive parts maker, as CEO between 2007 and 2016, and then as Board Chairman for his final year at the company.
Crucially, Delabrière has also served as head of IDEMIA’s Supervisory Board since January of this year, affording him firsthand experience with the company ahead of this new executive appointment. Delabrière’s appointment came alongside a number of other major changes in the company’s executive structure announced by IDEMIA that month.
In now becoming CEO of IDEMIA, Delabrière replaces Didier Lamouche, who headed the company since its formation last year with the merger of Safran Identity & Security and Oberthur Technologies, and served as CEO of Oberthur Technologies for five years prior to that. A statement announcing the change offered no reason for Lamouche’s resignation, but did feature some warm words of departure from the former executive, who expressed pride in his achievements with the firm and pointed to a “bright future” for its staff. “I wish them all every success,” he said.
