IDEMIA has announced a new head of its Public Security business in North America, a division specializing in the provision of biometric solutions to law enforcement agencies at all levels of government.
Donnie Scott comes to the role after a previous position as Director of National Security Business Development for DXC Technology, an IT services specialist based in Virginia. Scott served in that role for a little over a year, having previously held sales positions with Hewlett Packard, Electronic Data Systems, and BellSouth Business; but in a statement announcing his appointment as IDEMIA’s new Senior Vice President of Public Security for North America, IDEMIA asserted that Scott “brings over 16 years’ experience in business development for the U.S. Public Sector, working with a wide range of clients from local, state, civilian, healthcare and defense agencies.”
Commenting on his appointment, Scott acknowledged that public security “is a critical area of focus for IDEMIA in North America”, asserting, “I am excited to lead it into the future.” IDEMIA Identity & Security North America CEO Ed Casey added that Scott’s “strong dedication to customer service and his passion for growth will have an immediate positive impact on our business.”
Casey was himself appointed to his position near the start of this year, when IDEMIA also named a new EVP of Public Security and Citizen Identity, and made a couple of other high-level promotions from within the company.
