“Thompson brings 26 years of executive experience to the role, and has spent much of it helping companies build better business relationships with the Federal Government, which was a key factor in his hiring.
IDEMIA has officially brought on Sean Thompson as the company’s new Head of Business Development for IDEMIA Identity & Security, North America. Thompson will oversee future sales and business development – including capture and proposals – and will also serve as a member of the Executive Committee for the North American segment of IDEMIA’s Identity & Security business.
“I am excited help expand the business development capabilities and strengthen the company’s leadership position in the market,” said Thompson. “IDEMIA’s nearly 60-years of partnerships with government agencies serves as a great foundation for future growth.”
Thompson brings 26 years of executive experience to the role, and has spent much of it helping companies build better business relationships with the Federal Government, which was a key factor in his hiring. His previous stops include IBM, Sotera Defense Solutions, and Unisys, where he led the company’s Federal, Defense and Intelligence Sales group.
“[Sean’s] outstanding track record of winning new business and his deep understanding of the Federal Government market will be instrumental in accelerating the growth of our business,” added Ed Casey, the CEO of IDEMIA Identity & Security in North America.
An established leader in the government identity space, IDEMIA has already been working to further expand its business in the public sector in the past few months. The company recently launched a new fingerprint scanner designed for law enforcement, and has provided facial recognition technology that will make it easier for US Customs to process disembarking Royal Caribbean cruise line passengers.
