IDEMIA Targets Large Venues with Biometric Augmented Vision Platform

IDEMIA has launched a new biometric video analytics and security platform designed for large venues like stadiums, airports, and retail centers. The solution is called Augmented Vision, and is built using facial recognition technology that bested all competitors in a recent round of NIST testing. 

Augmented Vision can be integrated into any existing security system, and will analyze video footage in real time to alert venue staff to the presence of any suspicious individuals. The platform can also be deployed for access control by whitelisting staff or VIPs for entry into restricted areas.

In addition to people, Augmented Vision can be used to identify cars, license plates, or other objects of interest. Meanwhile, the alert system will help speed up any supplementary investigations after an event.

The launch of Augmented Vision continues IDEMIA’s recent expansion into the venue security sector. The company’s facial recognition tech is currently being used for border control at ports in Miami and New Jersey, while the Boston Red Sox deployed TSA PreCheck screening back in April.
