On this week’s episode of the ID Talk podcast, we welcome Neurotechnology’s Business Development Director, Antonello Mincone.
Neurotechnology offers a range of products, including biometric software development kits for fingerprint, face, iris, and voice recognition, as well as AI and machine learning algorithms. They are known for their high accuracy and performance in biometric identification and verification systems, as demonstrated in independent testing by groups like the National Institute of Standards and Technology; and the technology has been used in large-scale government programs like the UIDAI’s Aadhaar system in India.
Mincone, for his part, brings a deep level of expertise in biometrics and software engineering to his work for Neurotechnology, enabling him to dig into some fascinating technical topics in his conversation with ID Talk hosts Alex Perala and Tony Bitzionis. Among other things, Mincone offers insights on why NIST testing doesn’t always give a clear indication of how biometric systems will operate in the real world, why sophisticated algorithms need to be supported by robust software infrastructure, and how multimodality can effectively guard against the threat of deepfakes and other forms of identity fraud.
