IAM Specialist BeyondTrust Integrates AuthID’s Unphishable Solution

Identity and access management specialist BeyondTrust has partnered with AuthID, integrating the latter’s Verified CloudConnect solution into its platform.

BeyondTrust could prove to be an important partner for AuthID as it seeks to extend the reach of its passwordless “Human Factor Authentication” solutions, which revolve around the use of selfie-based identity verification. Billing itself as a provider of cloud-based “Privileged Access Management” solutions, BeyondTrust claims a client base of more than 20,000 customers, including high-profile names like RBC, eBay, and Williams-Sonoma.

Those customers will now be offered a phishing-resistant authentication solution in Verified CloudConnect.

“Our Human Factor Authentication reduces the risk of password-based attacks and lateral movement by bad actors, while improving user productivity,” asserted AuthID’s product head, Jeremiah Mason. “With this integration with BeyondTrust, authID again extends the reach of our next-gen authentication solutions to accelerate the move to zero trust by our mutual customers.”

AuthID says that its HFA solutions offer FIDO2-compliant passwordless authentication and anti-spoofing liveness detection capabilities, calling them “unphishable”. What’s more, they can be deployed on any Windows or Mac device, whether mobile or desktop.

The partnership’s announcement comes after the news that Verified CloudConnect had been integrated into Okta’s Workforce Identity Cloud last month. AuthID also announced that Tax Status, the provider of a digital IRS account monitoring platform, had deployed its Human Factor Authentication solutions near the start of this year.
