Biometric identity solutions provider Crossmatch has announced two major new offerings. Called DigitalPersona Mobile ID and DigitalPersona Commander, the software products were unveiled at this week’s International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) conference.
DigitalPersona Mobile ID is an Android app designed to facilitate biometric identification in the field. As the name suggests, it leverages the DigitalPersona biometric identity management platform that Crossmatch purchased in the spring of last year – a robust solution that has continued to help businesses manage access control since the acquisition.
Commander, meanwhile, is a software platform for device management, facilitating the administration of handheld identification devices such as Crossmatch’s award-winning Verifier Sentry, which offers in-the-field multimodal authentication. This is a solution primarily aimed at the security and law enforcement sector, offering officials a means of secure, remote communication between compatible devices and servers.
Commenting on the new offerings in a press release, Crossmatch CEO Richard Agostinelli pointed to the company’s experience in the field, asserting that its “livescan and mobile solutions play a pivotal role in supporting the daily efforts of the law enforcement community.” These new offerings aim to add further polish to the company’s reputation in this market.
