HYPR is launching a new channel partner program to promote the adoption of passwordless authentication protocols. The Velocity Partner Program debuts with a network of 30 partners, including technology partners and system integrators.
The members of the Velocity Partner Program will essentially be acting as resellers for HYPR’s True Passwordless Authentication Platform, which the organizations will be making available to their own customers in the private and public sectors. HYPR is hoping that the program will boost sales and accelerate the transition to passwordless security, noting that passwords and shared secrets are still the most common cause of data breaches.
As it stands, HYPR’s annual recurring revenues already went up 300 percent over the course of 2019, and the company believes that it can capture an even greater market share with the Velocity program. HYPR’s cloud-based authentication platform is compatible with multiple identity providers, making it easy to integrate into a customer’s existing security framework.
“The industry’s reliance on vulnerable passwords and legacy multi-factor authentication is the largest problem we face in cybersecurity today,” said HYPR Strategic Alliances VP George Muldoon. “The Velocity Partner Program gives us the force to influence change in the market.”
“Passwordless authentication has become essential as more organizations realize the risk associated with passwords, especially during this time with remote working,” added Consortium Networks Founder Larry Pfeifer. “As a partner of the Velocity Program, we are evolving how businesses protect their networks from the inside-out.”
HYPR is a member of the Board of Directors for the FIDO Alliance, which similarly advocates for passwordless authentication standards. The company is also a long-time member of the ForgeRock Trust Network, and recently added support for Redrock’s contactless PalmID authentication system.
