HYPR has teamed up with CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity firm specializing in endpoint protection, threat intelligence, and cyberattack response services.
Announced at this week’s Identiverse event in New York, the partnership will see the integration of HYPR Adapt with CrowdStrike Falcon XDR. Crowdstrike’s “Extended Detection and Response” solution is designed to extend endpoint detection and response (EDR) capabilities across various security layers, including network, cloud, and email environments.
HYPR Adapt, meanwhile, provides risk-based, adaptive authentication. It continuously assesses identity-related risks from a wide range of sources, such as user behavior, device status, and contextual signals, to dynamically adjust security measures.
In a statement announcing the partnership, the companies explained that their joint solution will assess data from both solutions to dynamically adjust authentication and verification requirements based on a comprehensive risk assessment. Joint customers will be able to leverage HYPR’s FIDO-certified multi-factor authentication solution, which includes support for fingerprint and face scans for biometric security.
“This integration with CrowdStrike represents a significant leap forward in that mission,” commented HYPR’s VP of Product Management, Rich Gibsen. “We are empowering organizations to implement truly risk-based access control, granting seamless access to trusted users while automatically mitigating risks associated with compromised devices.”
The announcement further illustrates HYPR’s interest in pursuing strategic partnerships in the identity security space. Toward the end of last year, for example, the company teamed up with Yubico, which specializes in biometric security keys, with CEO Bojan Simic explaining at the time that together the companies would offer “a seamless passwordless authentication experience that provides flexibility to use both software or hardware, accelerating user adoption.”
