Another new mobile device from China-based OEM Huawei – the Huawei MediaPad T2 7.0 – is using Fingerprint Cards and Precise Biometrics technology.
Like the MediaPad M2, Huawei’s new MediaPad T2 7.0 sports an FPC fingerprint sensor—in this case, the FPC1145 model. It’s the same sensor model that was used in Huawei’s Honor 7 and Honor 7i devices, which recently saw the announcement of a sequel, the Honor 8, using an FPC1035 sensor.
This is all to say that Huawei remains an enthusiastic repeat client of FPC. Indeed, it was named as a key client in the company’s recent corporate update, which detailed strong results from the mobile biometrics market.
Of course, Huawei has also brought a lot of business to Precise Biometrics, whose Precise BioMatch Mobile algorithm software has powered the biometric capabilities of many of its devices over recent months. And for both Precise Biometrics and FPC, the MediaPad T2 7.0 is unlikely to be last Huawei devices to feature their technologies.
