Biometric technology is expected to enjoy a bright spotlight at next week’s Money20/20 Europe conference, with growing enthusiasm from some big players in FinTech. Fittingly, a discussion panel on biometrics moderated by FindBiometrics President Peter O’Neill has just announced another participant: Craig Ramsay, HSBC Payments and Cash Management’s Head of Innovation.
The financial services company recently introduced fingerprint biometrics authentication for its mobile app, and is also planning to roll out a voice recognition system for its call centers. As such, it’s one of the more tech-forward major banking institutions, though many others are catching on to the biometric trend rising through the financial services sector.
Ramsay is a good fit, then, for the Money20/20 Europe panel, entitled “Biometric identity and its applications in financial services and payments” and scheduled for Wednesday, April 6th. Other panelists include Daon EMEA and APAC President Clive Bourke, BehavioSec CEO Dr. Neil Costigan, and Agnitio CEO Emilio Martinez.
