“Based on multispectral imaging technology, the ISO/IEC 30107-3 certified sensor incorporates on-device encryption, tamper detection, and liveness detection.”
HID Global‘s Lumidigm V400-BX fingerprint sensor has been named Security Products Magazine’s New Product of the Year in the category of “Access Control–Biometrics”, the company has announced.
Based on multispectral imaging technology, the ISO/IEC 30107-3 certified sensor incorporates on-device encryption, tamper detection, and liveness detection. And HID Global says it also uses a template generator that achieved a top ranking in the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s MINEX III test.
In a statement acknowledging the Security Products Magazine award, HID Global Product Management and Marketing VP Michael Chaudoin commented, “We are proud to receive this affirmation of our fingerprint sensor offering and validation of the crucial role biometrics plays in securing enterprise networks and other logical access applications.”
The award win news arrives just a few days after the much bigger news that HID Global’s parent company ASSA ABLOY, has acquired Crossmatch, another biometrics technology specialist, further expanding the company’s institutional expertise.
