HID Global is in attendance at this week’s ISC West showcase in Las Vegas. The company is showing off its wares at Booth #8053 at the Venetian Expo from March 23-25.
At ISC West, HID Global is planning to call particular attention to its portfolio of contactless access control solutions. The company noted that the demand for touchless experiences has increased during the pandemic, and it will therefore be pushing solutions that can create a more hygienic (and more streamlined) work environment. For example, the HID Origo cloud platform has already been installed at the 7 World Trade Center office building, giving employees the ability to swipe in with a digital credential stored in an Apple Wallet.
The HID Mobile Access application, on the other hand, has been deployed at Varso Place in Poland and the Arcos Bosques complex in Mexico City, and gives businesses another way to turn a smartphone into a contactless credential. Both HID Origo and HID Mobile Access are compatible with the company’s HID Signo readers.
The rest of HID’s product lineup is geared toward businesses that need to protect digital infrastructure in a hybrid workplace. The company’s HID Crescendo security keys can enable passwordless authentication, and can be deployed as part of a Zero-Trust Security framework. HID Global will also display its HID DigitalPersona platform, which supports multi-factor authentication and centralized authorization management through the cloud. Finally, HID Global will be bringing its latest HID FARGO printers and cloud-based management solutions for universities and other operations that still want to issue physical credentials.
HID Global has predicted that digital transformation will be a top priority for the security industry in 2022, with a strong emphasis on mobile and app-based access control solutions. However, ongoing supply chain issues could limit the availability of the readers and control panels, which will in turn drive up the cost of new technology in the immediate future.
