Heslo is hoping to streamline the online checkout process with a new Heslo Pay solution that allows shoppers to enter information more quickly. To that end, Heslo Pay links someone’s payment and shipping information to their biometrics, and then lets them enter that information with one click once they verify their identity with face or fingerprint recognition.
The goal, according to Heslo, is to remove as much friction from the checkout experience as possible. The more steps there are, the more likely customers are to walk away from a sale. Heslo Pay is designed to eliminate that hassle to prevent shopping cart abandonment and improve conversion rates for digital retailers. The use of device biometrics allows Heslo to deliver that convenience without compromising on security, and gives the company’s technology a utility that goes beyond the realm of e-commerce.
In that regard, Heslo released Heslo Pay alongside a new Heslo Login solution built for enterprise authentication. The solution can be integrated into websites, applications, or other services to enable secure passwordless authentication for customers and employees alike. Heslo Login is built to the FIDO standard and leverages a FIDO-certified digital trust server.
Heslo Pay is currently compatible with the Shopify, Ecwid, and BigCommerce platforms. The solution should help meet the growing demand for smooth payment experiences in the wake of COVID-19. Mastercard (amongst others) has noted that e-commerce skyrocketed during the pandemic, and its NuData subsidiary has argued that online retailers will need to make their services more convenient if they want to retain those customers once physical stores reopen.
