“Oloid’s FaceVault solutions is designed to use facial recognition for biometric access control and time and attendance tracking.”
Guardhat has established another partnership with a biometrics specialist, this time with an eye to helping organizations adapt to the pandemic age.
The company has teamed up with Oloid with the aim of combining their technology platforms to facilitate temperature screening and contact tracing for the enterprise.
Oloid’s FaceVault solutions is designed to use facial recognition for biometric access control and time and attendance tracking. The company’s platform also supports contactless temperature scanning, which can be used to detect fever in individuals – a sign of potential coronavirus infection. Together, these technology can allow organizations to screen employees as they come to work for signs of potential illness.
Guardhat, meanwhile, brings to the table its location monitoring technology, which can be used to provide information about contact points between employees before or after signs of illness have been detected. It can also be used to assess whether employees are following social distancing guidelines.
Both platforms can be integrated with cameras, mobile devices, and other IT infrastructure, and together offer a comprehensive solution for mitigating the spread of COVID-19, according to Guardhat and Oloid.
“By combining both the Guardhat and Oloid technologies, we are able to provide an extremely streamlined solution for organizations to safely and effectively bring their employees back to work,” said Guardhat Head of Global Sales Kaushik Sarkar in a statement announcing the collaboration. “This solution allows organizations to easily implement precautionary guidelines set by government entities such as the CDC and OSHA.”
The partnership’s announcement comes after Guardhat teamed up with FireHUD, a specialist in wearable biometric sensors for physiological metrics, to offer a new safety solution for industrial workplaces.
