FindBiometrics was in Barcelona this week for Mobile World Congress 2017. Tuesday morning at the conference’s Innovation City exhibit, Mobile ID World and FindBiometrics president Peter O’Neill caught up with David Pollington, the GSMA’s head of Applications & Services. The conversation starts on the topic of how authentication technology fits into the 5G future outlined in GSMA’s newly published report, The 5G Era: Age of Boundless Connectivity and Intelligent Automation. They go on to talk about some of the reasons biometrics have found such a strong platform at MWC over the past few years, and Pollington offers an update on GSMA’s Mobile Connect initiative, which now boasts an addressable base of 3 billion users.
