Goodix plans to show off its complete line of touchscreen and fingerprint solutions at next week’s Mobile World Congress, including some innovative new offerings.
One such item is a more advanced fingerprint scanning system that improves security with the ability to also detect pulse biometrics. As fingerprint authentication continues to rise in popularity, particularly on mobile devices, this could be a powerful new means of protecting such systems against spoofing. The company will also unveil a smart earbud that is able to track heart rate, its first foray into wearables; and Newton Touch, its own 3D Touch-style pressure sensing system.
