“Given these prospects and Goodix’s prestigious CES 2016 awards, there appears to be good reason for the company’s plans for growth.”
China-based user interface developer Goodix expects major growth over the next year, the company has announced.
While the company says it is working to meet rising demand for pressure-sensitive touchscreen solutions, much of its anticipated growth will revolve around fingerprint sensor production. The company recently expanded its production capacity and has also launched a new fingerprint sensor in collaboration with TPK Holding that is designed to be mounted on the back of a given touch panel, even in cases where that screen is made of sapphire glass.
Importantly, the company is reportedly also working closely with Alipay to establish fingerprint authentication standards for its eponymous mPayment platform. If Alipay intends to integrate fingerprint recognition as a major component of its authentication process, that partnership could prove significant going forward. Moreover, DigiTimes reports that the company has become “the sole provider of fingerprint authentication solutions to UnionPay International,” China’s major bank card issuer.
Given these prospects and Goodix’s prestigious CES 2016 awards, there appears to be good reason for the company’s plans for growth.
