One of the year’s biggest security exhibitions has now come to a close.
Organizers say this year’s ISC West attracted over a thousand solutions providers and more than 30,000 security industry professionals. Attendees were treated to keynote speakers like the Department of Homeland Security’s Cyber Security Division director Dr. Douglas Maughan, exhibits like the Emerging Technology Zone and the Public Security & Safety Expo, and educational sessions on Video and Big Data, The Standards Driving Biometric Adoption in Physical Security, and Protecting Critical Infrastructure from Our Bad Habits.

Attendees also got to see the launch of a number of new products, such as IDEMIA’s MorphoWave Compact, a space-saving version of its flagship contactless fingerprint scanning solution; and SecuGen’s new Hamster Pro 10 scanner with its U10 fingerprint sensor. And, of course, ISC West also featured a number of biometric access control solutions, reflecting a growing trend that’s also being highlighted by Physical Access and Enterprise Month at FindBiometrics.
There was a lot to take in, so before we start looking ahead to the industry’s next big event, let’s take a moment to look back on what was a very eventful ISC West 2018:
