Fujitsu PalmSecure Physical Access Control Systems Find New Global Integrator

As the physical access control industry gears up for ISC West in Las Vegas next week (April 2 to 4), providers of the biometric technology that keeps intruders out of where they don’t belong are releasing their big news along with their exhibition floor addresses.

Today, Fujitsu Frontech North America announced that AUTEC GmbH is becoming a value-added integrator for components of PalmEntry physical access control systems. This will have come to fruition on the exhibition floor in the form of AUTEC’s new international airport employee access solution called XMP-PalmCom.

The new access control solution is based on Fujitsu’s award winning PalmSecure technology and is aimed at providing a security solution in airports for the people who work there. PalmSecure uses near-infrared light to capture images of a user’s vascular patterns. It is contactless too, which is a benefit in high-use situations like staff-only areas of international airports.
