Fujitsu has announced a new mobile communication solution for healthcare featuring biometric authentication.
Dubbed MedClick, the solution is essentially designed to let healthcare providers communicate with patients through a secure, two-way mobile messaging system. It also features built-in remote medication monitoring, helping to ensure that patients are getting the care they need. And Fujitsu says the solution is secured via Biometrics-as-a-Service (or ‘BIOaaS’), its cloud-based, multimodal biometric authentication platform.
The solution’s announcement comes after a significant expansion in the availability of BIOaaS this year, with Fujitsu having launched the platform in Canada, Mexico, South America, and, most recently, Australia. The integration of BIOaaS into MedClick points to the growing prominence of the biometric authentication platform among Fujitsu’s offerings.
Fujitsu unveiled MedClick at this year’s Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference, which is running this week in Las Vegas.
