Another repeat customer has once again integrated Fingerprint Cards sensors into its new mobile devices. Coolpad’s Max and Max Lite smartphones feature FPC1025 and FPC1035 sensors, respectively.
It’s the continuation of a longstanding relationship, with Coolpad having incorporated FPC’s biometric sensor technology into a number of devices over past several months, such as the Coolpad Shine last autumn. More recently, the Coolpad Pro 2, which was launched a couple of months ago, also sported an FPC1025; and its Torino S and Note 3 Plus devices were among a spate of smartphone deployments announced last week, signalling continued momentum for FPC in its leading position as a supplier of fingerprint sensors to smartphone OEMs.
The integrations also reflect the broader trend of the rise of mobile biometrics, with smartphone fingerprints now being almost standard features on mobile devices. And given all the recent integrations on Coolpad devices, they are certainly standard features for that brand now.
