“As with other recent fiscal updates from Fingerprint Cards, the results could offer some indication of the state of the mobile biometrics market in general.”
Fingerprint Cards will issue its latest quarterly results this week, the company has announced. The results pertain to the fourth quarter of FPC’s 2019 fiscal year, and will be issued on February 13 at 7:00 a.m. CET.
The results will be issued along with a presentation conducted by FPC’s Chief Financial Officer, Per Sundqvist, and its CEO, Christian Fredrikson. The presentation will be conducted in English.
As with other recent fiscal updates from Fingerprint Cards, the results could offer some indication of the state of the mobile biometrics market in general. A pioneering provider of fingerprint sensors for smartphones, FPC saw enormous success at the height of the fingerprint-focused mobile biometrics revolution, but went on to struggle against the falling Average Selling Price of fingerprint sensors as competitors flooded the market.
FPC has responded by expanding into new market areas such as biometric payment cards, but also by working to develop low-cost versions of its own sensors, which has helped the company to regain a competitive foothold over the past year.
Fingerprint Cards’ presentation is slated to begin at 9:00 a.m. CET on February 13, with interested parties invited to dial in, or to access a simultaneous webcast. Participants in the webcast will also be able to ask questions if they wish, the company says.
