Fingerprint Cards is on the hunt for a new CFO, with the individual previously slated for the position having pulled out.
Previously the CFO of Commercial Finance at Mölnlycke Health Care, Pernilla Lindén was to take over the role of FPC’s CFO after the June 6th departure of Hassan Tabrizi, who filled the position on an interim basis. But FPC has now announced in a press release that Lindén has backed out for “personal reasons.” Now, the company’s Group Accounting Manager, Yiva Blomén, will become its acting CFO on June 7th, while the company resumes its search for a permanent replacement of Tabrizi.
Blomén joined the company in March of 2016, and FPC says she brings “solid experience” from previous roles as CFO of construction firm Serneke, Group Financial Controller for the Hexpol polymers group, and Site Controller at health and hygiene company Essity.
Lindén’s withdrawal comes amid some other notable changes at FPC, with the recent news of the departure of several board members, and the proposed return of former CEO Johan Carlström as FPC’s new Chairman of the Board. Meanwhile, the company’s management is working to steer its business toward new and potentially lucrative market areas such as biometric payment cards as FPC has faced declining margins in its mainstay mobile fingerprint sensor business.
