authID.ai is continuing its rebrand with four new additions to the company’s Board of Directors. All four of the new Directors are non-executive appointments, though they have decades of experience in the realm of digital transformation, and will be asked to provide guidance and oversight as authID.ai develops new technologies and evolves its business in the next few years.
The new Board members are Michael Gorriz, Michael Koehneman, Sanjay Puri, and Jacqueline White. Gorriz is the CIO at Standard Chartered Bank, while Koehneman recently served as the Global Avisory COO for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Puri, meanwhile, is the Managing Director at Progress Partners, and White is the President of the Americas for Temenos.
The quartet will fill out a Board that already includes Philip Broenniman, Phillip Kumnick, and CEO Tom Thimot, who took over the role when authID.ai announced its rebrand from Ipsidy earlier this month. Thimot inherited the role from Kumnick, though Kumnick will still act as Chairman of the Board.
“These Directors bring exceptional expertise leading large-scale digital transformation and innovation initiatives across many of the industries we serve,” said Kumnick. “Their participation validates the strength of our technology and reflects their confidence in our goal to be the preferred global platform for biometric identity authentication.”
“The primary challenge for 21st century financial institutions is the safety and security of their customers’ data and assets,” added Jacqueline White. “Ensuring that organizations recognize every customer before a transaction takes place means implementing next-generation biometric authentication solution technology now.”
authID.ai is best known for its face-based biometric onboarding and authentication solution. As Ipsidy, the company provided remote identity verification technology for the On the Fly Point-of-Sale platform, and for BPSmart’s Digital Assistant. The company also partnered with LoginID to release AuthentifID, a joint solution that combines LoginID’s device verification offering with authID.ai’s facial recognition tech.
