A newly established biometrics vendor has unveiled its flagship face-based access control system.
Nabla Works’ system eliminates the need for IC cards or smartphones by offering accurate face recognition technology. The device boasts an authentication speed of 0.3 seconds or less, with accuracy rates exceeding 99 percent. It also includes a “biometric detection function” to prevent spoofing and ensure secure access control. The device is supported by an optimized SDK, making it easy to integrate with external systems and develop custom UIs.
The accompanying management software provides an intuitive UI with dashboard functions for managing devices, user privileges, and authentication history. It can be implemented in both on-premises and cloud environments, with available API and push notification features for integration with existing systems.
Looking ahead, Nabla Works plans to expand its offerings by rolling out SDKs for face recognition server software, camera module terminals, and reception terminals. The company is also seeking distributor partners in various industries to assist with the sale, implementation, and support of their solutions worldwide.
Nabla Works was founded in January of 2024, and is led by Masayuki Motoshima. Before taking the helm as the new company’s CEO, Motoshima spent a little over 20 years with SoftBank, where he started as a General Manager in 2004 and proceeded to rise through the ranks to the position of Director of its AI Development Office.
He has also spent the last five years as the COO of Japan Computer Vision Corp., according to his LinkedIn profile.
