Suprema has made an important new appointment with respect to its American arm, which will now be headed by Bill McKee.
McKee brings to the role a wealth of experience in the security industry, with a career extending back to the late 1970s. He took on his first executive position in 1988, when Cardkey Systems appointed him as Senior Vice President of Sales, and from there he went on to serve in high-level sales and business development roles with PCSC, Pelco, and Samsung Techwin America.
In 2007, McKee joined the Security Industry Association‘s Board of Directors, a role he maintained until mid-2016. He also served as President of Paxton Access Ltd. for much of this period, before proceeding to Princeton Identity as VP of Sales and Marketing in 2017, and then to Safetrust Inc. as SVP of Americas Commercial Sales in March of last year.
Now, as President of Suprema America, McKee will be tasked with helping to increase the subsidiary’s market share in North America. McKee is fairly early to the game, with Suprema having established its American arm only in 2019.
“We are absolutely delighted to have Mr. McKee join our team during this important period,” enthused Suprema Inc. CEO Hanchul Kim. “His vast knowledge and experience are truly invaluable, and we are confident that he will help drive Suprema into a leading position in the access control industry.”
Among the solutions that McKee will be looking to promote in order to achieve that growth will be the BioStation 3, a new access control system that Suprema first unveiled in January. The new offering introduced facial recognition to Suprema’s BioStation platform, a feature that has enjoyed growing popularity amid increasing interest in contactless authentication solutions.
