In the latest sign of its continuing growth, identity verification and authentication specialist Incode has appointed a new Chief Revenue Officer. What’s more, Dean Hickman-Smith comes to the company from a major rival in the identity industry – Jumio, where he also drove revenue growth in a CRO position.
The announcement of Hickman-Smith’s appointment comes after Incode named Allen Ganz, a former NEC executive, as its new VP of Business Development in May. Incode says it has doubled its workforce during 2022 and expanded its network of global offices across the US, Mexico, and Serbia.
As for the business activities that are helping to fuel that growth, Incode has seen success in the hospitality sector in particular in recent months. Soon after the announcement of Ganz’s appointment, Incode revealed that it would provide biometric authentication and identity verification solutions to the Jumeirah Group, which offers luxury hotel services in the Middle East. And this month brought the news that INTELITY would use Incode’s biometric technology to provide selfie-based check-in services for hotel guests using its mobile app.
“Demand for our AI-based identity verification solution continues to build as companies across every industry realize its potential for providing the safe, private and streamlined experience customers demand,” asserted Incode CEO Ricardo Amper. “We are excited to tap into Dean’s extensive commercial experience and pair it with a fully-automated platform that can deliver those experiences at scale.”
For his part, Hickman-Smith explained that he believes that “Incode is at the forefront of a clear need to build frictionless and secure experiences and is well-positioned to be the market leader,” adding, “I look forward to working together to globally expand our operations, significantly drive growth and help the company realize its full potential.”
In addition to his prior role at Jumio, Hickman-Smith’s two-decade career has included terms with Bitglass, where he served as SVP of World Field Operations, as well as Aerohive Networks, Proofpoint, and vArmour, where he continues to serve as an advisor. Hickman-Smith is also a competitive aerobatics pilot and a volunteer with the Northern California Soaring Association.
