The Indonesian telecommunications company XL Axiata will be using ForgeRock’s Identity Platform to secure its new cloud ecosystem. XL Axiata currently has more than 55 million subscribers, and is developing a new cloud platform to unify its existing products and allow those customers to access its various services through a single centralized location.
The ForgeRock Identity Platform, meanwhile, offers a slew of authentication, management, and privacy features. XL Axiata indicated that the Identity Platform will give its users more control over their own personal information, and allow them to provide more consent about what information they do and do not wish to share with the company.
“We needed a partner able to support us long term and give our customers control of their own data,” said XL Axiata Chief Information and Digital Officer Yessie Yosetya. “We decided to select ForgeRock as we believe they have the capabilities that matched our requirements.”
“ForgeRock is thrilled to help XL Axiata accelerate its digital transformation,” added ForgeRock SVP David Hope. “Customers around the world, and increasingly in this region, are using the cloud to successfully launch new digital services faster than ever before.”
The news comes shortly after the launch of a ForgeRock Go feature that will enable passwordless authentication for both the ForgeRock Identity Platform and the ForgeRock Identity Cloud. The tool allows users to log into an account with any device that supports the FIDO Alliance’s WebAuthN standard. ForgeRock has also upgraded its cloud tech to deliver better automated services. For instance, the improved Identity Platform now has Self Service Trees to help guide new customers through the onboarding process.
Daon is one of ForgeRock’s newest partners, and adapted its IdentityX solution for the Identity Platform in May. ForgeRock itself recently picked up $93.5 million in its latest round of Series E funding.
