Doug OGorden, FindBiometrics’ Director of Digital Media and Events, will be discussing digital IDs during a panel at the upcoming SIA GovSummit in Washington, DC. The event is set to run from May 24-25 at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) headquarters.
OGorden will be participating in the ‘How Will Digital ID Impact Federal Government Programs?’ session on Wednesday, May 25. The panel will begin at 3:00pm and conclude at 3:45pm in the venue’s Conference Room.
As the title would suggest, the members of the panel will be highlighting some of the ways in which the federal government can use Digital IDs to address modern cybersecurity challenges. The conversation will cover everything from use cases to the road maps that government agencies can follow to achieve digital transformation. The panelists will also explore how agencies can use biometric technologies to deliver better user experiences.
The rest of the panel will include expert representatives from both the public and the private sectors. In that regard, OGorden will sit alongside Melissa Conley, Arun Vemury, David Ray, and Lisa Sullivan, with the former two working for the US Department of Homeland Security and the latter two working for private technology providers. Conley is the Director of Capability Management and Innovation for the Transportation Security Administration, while Vemury is the Director of the Biometric and Identity Technology Center for the Science and Technology Directorate. Ray, on the other hand, is the COO and General Counsel for Rank One Computing, and Sullivan is IDEMIA’s SVP of Travel and Transportation.
