The online sports betting platform FanDuel is now using Prove’s “Pre-Fill” solution to streamline user onboarding by automatically generating bank-grade data from Prove’s authoritative sources in sign-up forms, and authenticating the identities of new customers.
It’s a significant development for Prove in its efforts to expand its presence in the world of online gaming and sports betting. FanDuel has benefitted from the gradual legalization of sports betting in the US in recent years, and now operates sportsbooks in states including Indiana, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. It is the official sports betting partner of the National Hockey League and of the Kentucky Derby.
As such, FanDuel should provide a compelling complement to some of the other major online gaming and betting platforms that have teamed up with Prove, including BetMGM.
In a statement announcing the integration, Prove asserted that its solution can speed up account opening processes by 80 percent, and can enable onboarding in as few as three clicks.
“FanDuel is the premier gaming destination in the sports betting space, and together, we have a shared vision of a more seamless, safer player experience for their customers,” said Prove’s Director of Digital Identity and Head of Sports Betting and iGaming, Tom Hill. “With a high number of registration abandonment rates in this market, Prove Pre-Fill will allow FanDuel to securely migrate users through its verification process safely, allowing them to enjoy the company’s portfolio of product offerings.”
Prove’s identity solutions are being used beyond the online gaming sector, of course. The company counts eight of the top 10 banks among its clients, as well six of the top 10 insurance companies in the US, and two of the top three healthcare companies. all told, over a thousand business spanning a number of sectors are using Prove’s solutions.
Prove’s VP and Global Head of Identity & Fraud, Ryan Alexander, spoke with FindBiometrics earlier this year about how the company’s solutions are able to effectively fight fraud in the current digital landscape.
