Denver-based authID has partnered with ABM, a major facilities maintenance specialist, to bolster enterprise security using biometric technology. ABM, with a workforce of over 100,000 individuals spread across sectors like aviation, education, healthcare, and hospitality, plans to implement authID’s biometric technology to enable workers to access corporate assets via facial scans, eliminating the need for complex passwords. This move comes shortly after authID’s appointment of three new sales executives, furthering a leadership transformation after a significant corporate overhaul earlier in the year.
The collaboration between authID and ABM aims to optimize facility operations and secure employee access across shared devices. ABM employees will be able to authenticate quickly to essential corporate applications using a simple facial biometric capture, with authID seamlessly protecting against potential attacks.
The partnership also aims to reduce operational complexities for ABM by providing an easy user authentication experience without the added costs or challenges of physical tokens or reliance on secondary personal mobile devices. Moreover, authID’s solution will offer off-line authentication, allowing secure systems access even when internet connectivity is unavailable, catering to the diverse physical environments in which ABM employees operate.
Rhon Daguro, CEO of authID, expressed enthusiasm about partnering with ABM to deliver the best passwordless employee authentication experience. authID’s mission revolves around providing the fastest and easiest passwordless security in the market, empowering legitimate users to access shared devices and enterprise systems securely and efficiently.
Stephanie Franklin-Thomas, Chief Information Security Officer of ABM, emphasized that they chose authID for its combination of security, seamless user experience, shared device support, and cost-effective delivery. “Their innovative biometric authentication solutions offer the ultimate in passwordless security, accuracy, and speed,” she said.
The news comes after authID’s recent Q2 update revealed its strong momentum, with the company having signed multiple contracts with an estimated aggregate Booked Annual Recurring Revenue (BARR) of about $239,000 during the period. The undisclosed clients include a Fortune 500 company with more than 100,000 employees, a US financial institution, and an international recruitment platform. These clients recognized the appeal of authID’s authentication and identity verification platform, which relies on facial recognition to match users’ selfie photos to their official ID, as seen in the “Verified” platform.
The partnership with ABM also follows authID’s corporate overhaul announced earlier in the year, in which the company established a new funding arrangement with longtime shareholder Stephen J. Garchik, appointed four new board members, and brought in Rhon Daguro as the new CEO. authID’s successful Q2 wins and the $8.2 million capital infusion from a registered direct offering of common stock and concurrent private placement demonstrate the demand for their identity verification and authentication products.
