FacePhi is looking to increase its business activity in its home country thanks to a new partnership with NewThink.
The latter is a consultancy and systems integrator focused on helping companies with their digital transformations. And its work covers a number of technological areas, including app development, analytics, AI assistants, and digital identity management.
The firm also has “extensive knowledge of biometrics”, according to FacePhi CRO Jorge Sanz. Commenting in a statement, Sanz explained that for FacePhi, the partnership “represents an important opportunity to incorporate our technology within the extensive portfolio of clients that NewThink boasts.”
Sanz added that the partnership will help FacePhi to “reinforce [its] position on a national level” in areas including travel, transportation, and finance, among others.
As a pioneer in the selfie-based onboarding boom – and a vendor of a wide range of additional biometric solutions – FacePhi is already one of Spain’s most prominent tech firms. The identity specialist was designated as a strategically important company by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism last month, enabling it to offer special visas to Highly Qualified Professionals from outside of the country.
For NewThink, meanwhile, the partnership will allow it to enhance its identity verification offerings for the companies it works with.
“NewThink is proud to work with the most advanced technology for user identity verification, and to contribute to promoting the digitisation process in different business sectors,” commented NewThink co-founder and CEO José Vicente Hernández.
News of the partnership comes shortly after FacePhi’s announcement that it will be participating in a government-led initiative to assess the potential benefits of a four-day workweek in the new year.
