The Association of Parents of Children with Cancer of the Valencian Community (ASPANION) has recognized FacePhi as a Star Company for 2021. ASPANION is a local community organization that provides support for children (and the families of children) struggling with cancer in Valencia.
FacePhi first started working with ASPANION in 2021, after FacePhi employees filled out a survey to select a charitable organization to support through the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility program. The survey was conducted at the beginning of 2021, and motivated FacePhi to put together a charity calendar with ASPANION to raise funds for the organization. One hundred percent of the proceeds from sales of the calendar to FacePhi employees were donated to ASPANION to assist the organization’s efforts to combat cancer in children.
In that regard, ASPANION helps with medical care, and helps cancer patients and their families gain access to mental health services during a difficult time. The organization provided support for 739 Valencian families in 2021, and a total of 2,513 individuals.
FacePhi’s contributions prompted ASPANION to issue the Star Company stamp. The two organizations have both indicated that they want to build on their relationship in the coming year, through volunteering and other cooperative efforts.
The Corporate Social Responsibility program reflects FacePhi’s broader commitment to social welfare, and to the Valencia region more generally. Valencia’s Official College and Association of Graduates and Technical Telecommunications Engineers presented FacePhi staff with its Telecommunications Talent Award for 2021, while Spain’s Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism has designated FacePhi as a strategic company for the Spanish government. That designation gives FacePhi preferential status when issuing Visas for new international hires. The company transitioned to a four-day workweek for its staff in 2022, and is hoping that the policy will help attract more talent as it looks to expand.
