Facephi and Huenei Form Digital Identity Alliance for Latin America and the United States

World ID 3.0 Comes to Brazil

Facephi and Huenei said they have formed a strategic alliance aimed at strengthening digital identity projects in Latin America and the United States, giving Facephi additional regional delivery capacity as it expands its identity verification business.

Facephi said the agreement adds Huenei to its partner community. Huenei described itself as a software development and AI company with more than 30 years of experience, while Facephi framed the relationship around its identity protection and verification portfolio. The companies did not tie the alliance to a named customer or a single product rollout, but the regional scope suggests they are preparing for broader deployment, integration and services work across regulated markets in the Americas.

That makes the deal more relevant than a routine partner logo exchange. In biometrics and digital identity, commercial success often depends as much on implementation capacity and local delivery as on the core verification engine. Vendors that want to win in banking, government and other regulated sectors need partners that can integrate software, adapt workflows and support customers over time. The Huenei alliance appears designed to strengthen that part of Facephi’s operating model.

The move also fits Facephi’s recent pattern of expansion through partnerships. In February, the company brought biometric eKYC to Japan through a Hancom partnership. Hancom’s wider identity expansion strategy has been shaping cross-border deals in the sector. The Huenei agreement extends that playbook into Latin America and the U.S., where integration work and regional delivery capability can be decisive in digital identity procurement.

Identity vendors are still building channel and implementation networks, not just product features. As more projects move from proofs of concept to operational deployments, those partnerships can become a key differentiator in who actually gets systems into production.

That matters particularly in the Americas, where identity projects can span very different regulatory environments and procurement cultures. A partner with delivery and AI engineering experience can help shorten the gap between product capability and implementation, especially in banking, public-sector and other sectors where digital identity deployments require adaptation rather than a simple software handoff.
