EyeLock has joined the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program (OAAP) and received factory certification from the access control specialist. The developments mean that EyeLock’s iris-based biometric authentication technology is now ready for integration into Lenel’s OnGuard access control platform.
In a statement, EyeLock Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer Anthony Antolino called the Lenel factory certification “an important step forward for simplifying the implementation of iris biometrics across access control environments”, adding that the development “helps accelerate the worldwide adoption of our proprietary biometric technology.”
Meanwhile, Lenel OAAP Product Manager Zach Roth said his organization looks forward “to EyeLock’s continued involvement in the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program.”
For Lenel clients, the developments will ultimately mean more biometric solutions as such technology becomes increasingly essential to access control systems. Lenel has also welcomed fingerprint-based biometric technology to its OnGuard platform through a partnership with ZKAccess last year.
