EyeLock ID Brings Biometric Authentication to Remote Workers

EyeLock has unveiled a new biometric authentication solution tailored for the age of remote work.

Dubbed “EyeLock ID”, the solution marks EyeLock’s expansion into logical access control. EyeLock ID combines the company’s flagship myris iris scanning device with specialized software allowing end users to securely log into apps, networks, and computers thanks to biometric authentication.

In other words, an employee working from home can now log into corporate assets with an iris scan, dramatically enhancing an organization’s security in comparison to traditional password-based authentication mechanisms. It’s a solution that could prove to be particularly appealing amid a pandemic that has rapidly pushed a number of organizations into new remote work setups without having had time to develop robust security frameworks to protect online assets.

EyeLock ID comprises one myris scanner and an annual software subscription. The software component of EyeLock ID was developed by New Jersey-based Integral Biometrics (formerly “Integral Technology Solutions“).
