SoC company eWBM has announced it is spinning off its FIDO certified key business into its own new entity called TrustKey Solutions, due to the growing global demand for passwordless authentication.
TrustKey offers a number of hardware security keys including its flagship G-series, which comprises the world’s first and only FIDO2 Level2 certified biometrics security keys. Available in both USB-A and USB-C configurations, they come equipped with a fingerprint sensor for added authentication security.
In addition to the G-Series line, TrustKey also offers the T-Series, which includes security keys that are implemented on the same platform but contain non-biometric touch sensors that make them more affordable and allow for user presence verification to protect them from remote hacking attacks.
Earlier this year, TrustKey (as eWBM) launched the FIDO2/U2F-compliant G320 USB-C biometric security key, capable of supporting the Microsoft Azure Active Directory.
Founded by eWBM CEO Stephen Oh, TrustKey is led by a group of U.S.-based executives that will focus on bringing advanced FIDO2 security solutions to consumers while overseeing the company’s growth in the global identity security marketplace.
TrustKey is also a board member of the FIDO Alliance, which allows it to help shape the passwordless future with the aim of protecting the identities of people around the world.
