Emotion analytics specialist Truthify has officially announced its new CEO, formally revealing in a statement that Justin Wisz has taken the helm after he quietly started leading the firm in January.
The company’s AI-driven biometric technology is essentially designed to assess the emotional responses of end users as they watch video clips on their mobile devices. Truthify says its technology can scan facial muscle movements up to 50 times per second in order to look for signs of emotions like happiness, anger, disgust, and more.
The aim is to give brands some tangible insights into the effectiveness of their marketing efforts. End users, meanwhile, can be compensated through small payments for each ad viewed, thanks to a new platform feature called “Earn Per View”.
Wisz joined the company after having participated in a private funding round. He is perhaps best known as a co-founder of Vestorly, a content marketing platform that he ran as chief executive from 2012 to 2018. Since then, he has served as an advisor to CentSai, a financial advice platform, and as a partner in RTP Ventures.
“Truthify’s use of Emotion AI is a revolutionary approach to the old problem of measuring authentic engagement, and its embodiment in a mobile app benefits brands and consumers alike,” commented Wisz. “Much of my career has been focused on building ways to generate qualified leads with content marketing. Truthify can be the closest to achieving that while keeping user privacy at the forefront.”
The announcement of Wisz’s appointment comes after another marketing-focused emotional biometrics specialist, Jinglz, announced an Online Public Offering in June of this year. Allied Market Research has predicted that the emotion recognition market will reach a value of $33.9 billion by 2023.
