Digital banking solutions provider ebankIT has partnered with identity verification firm Prove to integrate Prove’s mobile-centric authentication technologies into its omnichannel banking platform. The partnership aims to strengthen digital identity verification while improving user experience and reducing fraud for financial institutions worldwide.
Enhancing Security and Reducing Onboarding Friction
The collaboration will allow banks and credit unions using ebankIT’s platform to offer faster, more secure onboarding processes by leveraging Prove’s device-based and biometric verification capabilities. These methods are designed to minimize user friction while strengthening defense against synthetic identity fraud and account takeover attempts—two risks increasingly driven by AI-enhanced fraud techniques.
“By integrating Prove’s best-in-class identity verification solutions into our platform, we are empowering financial institutions to deliver secure, seamless, and user-friendly digital experiences to their customers,” said Renato Oliveira, CEO of ebankIT.
Prove’s acquisition of Portabl early last year further extended its capabilities. Portabl specializes in reusable identity credentials based on W3C standards, enabling users to manage and share verifications from a device-independent wallet. This complements Prove’s broader strategy to create identity frameworks that are both privacy-preserving and interoperable across platforms.
Strategic Alignment for Global Financial Institutions
Tom Hill, Head of Partnerships at Prove, noted the collaboration’s global relevance: “Our collaboration with ebankIT will enable more financial institutions to leverage our mobile-centric identity verification technology, helping them to reduce fraud and improve customer satisfaction.”
The integration is expected to deliver scalable solutions that accommodate diverse regulatory environments while helping financial institutions reduce operational overhead and bolster customer retention. It also aligns with ebankIT’s broader strategy to build a modular ecosystem of fintech and consulting partners that support digital transformation efforts at financial institutions worldwide.
