“The solution was developed in collaboration with Digitus Biometrics, and represents a logical evolution from the BioLock biometric locking solution announced by EMKA back in 2014.”
UK-based locking systems developer EMKA has announced a new solution called DualLock.
The device is designed to protect IT infrastructure by securely locking equipment like server racks. To that end, it incorporates both biometric and card-based access control. Authorized users can only access secured assets if they both scan their fingerprints and use their designated access cards, with the readers built directly into the cabinet handle.
The solution was developed in collaboration with Digitus Biometrics, and represents a logical evolution from the BioLock biometric locking solution announced by EMKA back in 2014.
In a statement announcing the new solution, EMKA says “it integrates with your enterprise access control software.” And given the company’s recent partnership with BioConnect aimed at helping to bring its solutions to more clients, DualLock could find some substantial interest from the enterprise sector.
