Patient services kiosk provider CTS Healthcare Services has adopted RightPatient’s biometric patient identification system into its Patient Passport Express platform.
That means CTS clients that take advantage of RightPatient will be able to able to link patients’ records to their facial biometrics, which are captured via photo in an initial enrollment in a system called Photo Biometrics. It’s all offered as a Software-as-a-Service model through RightPatient, available for a monthly fee.
In a statement announcing the integration, CTS Healthcare Services EVP Marc Avallone outlined the system’s benefits, asserting that it has helped his company “to provide hygienic, intuitive, secure authentication with a scalable platform that already integrates into many EHR systems.”
It’s just one example of a rising trend as more healthcare providers adopt biometric patient identification solutions, which not only can help to improve efficiency and regulatory compliance, but can also improve patient service.
