Credence ID has announced the expansion of its mobile driver’s license (mDL) verification platform to include digital IDs from Ohio, New York, and Virginia. The expansion broadens the platform’s coverage, making it a more comprehensive solution for verifying individuals presenting mDLs across various states and international territories.
In addition to expanding its state coverage, Credence ID has integrated the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) Digital Trust Service (DTS) into its platform. The move enhances the platform’s interoperability and ensures the authenticity of mDLs by managing trust certificates from all issuing jurisdictions.
The integration means that organizations can select jurisdictions that align with their specific verification needs, offering a scalable solution for verifying identities or ages of individuals from states with nearly 100 million residents combined.
“We are thrilled to see the next wave of mDL adoption from more US States, and to expand our platform and integrate AAMVA’s Digital Trust Service to meet the diverse needs of organizations across the country,” said Yash Shah, CTO at Credence ID. “These new developments demonstrate our commitment to providing the most secure, reliable, and comprehensive mDL verification solution available.”
The platform’s features are designed to cater to a wide range of needs, including age verification and identity authentication. It can function as a standalone verifier or integrate with existing identity solutions and applications.
Earlier this month, Credence ID announced a partnership with IDScan.net to integrate its Tap2iD solution into the VeriScan platform for Windows, enabling businesses to seamlessly accept and verify mobile driver’s licenses (mDLs) in a manner as straightforward as physical IDs.
