Credence ID has won Frost & Sullivan’s 2017 Global New Product Innovation Award.
The award was given in recognition of the CredenceTAB, a tablet device first announced by Credence ID last year. The tablet features a built-in FBI PIV FAP 30 fingerprint sensor, a smart card reader, an MRZ reader, and eDocument reading capabilities.
In a statement announcing the award, the companies explained that every year, Frost & Sullivan “presents this award to the company that has developed an innovative element in a product by leveraging leading-edge technologies,” in recognition of “the value-added features/benefits of the product and the increased return on investment (ROI) it provides to customers, which, in turn, raises customer acquisition and overall market penetration potential.”
The companies also emphasized that “CredenceTAB greatly aids the national ID programs of various governments,” even as, together with its SDK, the solution offers “a plethora of application opportunities across both government and commercial applications.” Indeed, Credence ID is exploring many such opportunities, with a particularly strong focus on the Central and South American regions after it announced the opening of a new Mexico City office this past spring.
