Corsight AI has found a distribution partner for its expansion into the Asian market. The company has been ramping up its activities in Asia for the past several months, first with the appointment of a pair of regional executives and again when it partnered with the SJB Group to help fill out the rest of the executive team.
Now Corsight is ready to start reaching out to potential customers after choosing Netpoleon as its official distribution partner. The deal specifically focuses on the South Asian market, and will leverage Netpoleon’s existing relationships in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, India, and the Philippines. In that regard, Netpoleon will connect Corsight with local re-sellers, and those re-sellers will pass Corsight’s facial recognition technology on to end-users.
Netpoleon itself is based in Singapore, and acts primarily as a Value-Added Distributor (VAD) of network and cybersecurity solutions. The company is currently looking to expand into the physical security space, and noted that Corsight’s facial recognition offering is the first such solution in its portfolio. Corsight’s solution can be used for both access control and surveillance, and provides customers with real-time detection and video analysis capabilities.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Corsight AI and stepping into the world of physical security,” said Netpoleon CEO Francis Goh. “We look forward to working closely with the Corsight team and delivering their products to our network of re-sellers.”
“Alongside their IT expertise, Netpoleon offers supportive consultation both pre- and post-sales to ensure their customers are getting the most out of their investments,” added Corsight CEO Rob Watts. “We are confident that Netpoleon is the best option for taking Corsight solutions to market in this region, and they will prioritise supporting customers as they learn how to safely and efficiently leverage this sophisticated technology.”
Corsight’s facial recognition algorithm took the top spot in the unmasked category (and second in the masked category) in the Department of Homeland Security’s latest Biometric Technology Rally. Netpoleon, meanwhile, was recently selected as Jumio’s Emerging partner of the year for the entire Asia Pacific region.
