Corsight AI is providing its facial recognition technology in a security project at the 14th Battalion in Osasco, São Paulo.
The project is a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) led by Segdboa, providing monitoring rooms to battalions for real-time threat monitoring and rapid response. Surveillance poles with cameras are positioned at locations such as shopping centers and parks to detect suspects and alert the Military Police.
Segdboa has donated monitoring rooms to five cities and the Civil Guard Corps of Ibiúna city. The project aims to equip all 380 battalions of the Military Police in São Paulo state with these monitoring rooms.
In a statement, the company credited a “Captain David” as being an instrumental actor in deploying Corsight’s tech, describing the officer as “coordinator of activities at the 14th Battalion.” The officer has integrated Segdboa’s security solution, which includes Corsight AI’s Facial Intelligence platform, Digifort’s Video Management System (VMS) and License Plate Recognition (LPR), IP Extreme’s video analytics, and Dahua’s surveillance equipment.
Segdboa plans to integrate each battalion’s facial recognition database with the national Cortex system from the Ministry of Justice. The integration will include photos of all citizens with legal mandates and records of stolen vehicles.
